NEWTON HART, Egremont, Mass., eldest son of Lemuel Hart, of South- ington, and his second wife, Lydia (Heffards), born May 23d, 1793, at Egremont, Mass.; married December 30th, 1828, Martha Sophronia Winchell, daughter of Amos, of Egremont, and his wife, Anna (Adams), born January 10th, 1803, at Egremont. They lived both at Egremont, and Winsted, Conn., where he died, January 24th, 1868, aged 75 years. She was living with her son, George, at Bristol, Conn., in 1871.

ARD HART, Bristol, Conn., second son of Lemuel Hart, of Southington, Conn., and his second wife, Lydia (Heffards), born January 23d, 1803, at Hillsdale, Mass.; married January 3d, 1831, Miss Amanda, daughter of Seth Hart, of Bristol, and his wife, Mary (Wilcox), born July 26th, 1805. He was a hatter by trade, but a farmer by occupation. His farm is located in the north part of Bristol, near Burlington line. He died in Bristol, of small pox, May 26th, 1850, aged 47 years, and was buried in the North Cemetery. She died September 16th, 1863, aged 68 years.
