MARY JANE HART, Windham, Ohio, third daughter of Joel Hart, of Egromont, Mass., and his wife, Sally (Winchell), born May 2 1st, 1831, at Egremont, Mass.; married September 21st, 1853, Jacob P. Earle, a farmer, of Windham, Portage County, Ohio, and both belong to the Free Will Baptist Church there. They had children, viz: Carlisle B., Flora Issabel, and Orville Alonzo.

CHARLES ALONZO HART, Freeport, Ill., youngest child of Joel Hart, of Egremont, Mass., and his wife, Sally (Winchell), born January 8th, 1834, at Egremont, Mass.; married September 22d, 1866, Amanda M. H. Dobler, whose mother was Catharine S. Kemp, born June 23d, 1840, at Hamilton County, Ohio. He is a farmer at Freeport, Stephenson County, Ill., and both are members of the Church of United Brethren. They have one child by adoption, and one of their own.

DAVIS HART, eldest son of Newton Hart, Egremont, Mass., and his wife, Martha Sophrone (Winchell), born September 24th, 1834, at Egremont, Mass.; married Amanda Coles Stannard, daughter of Gershom, and his wife, Lucina (Granger), born June 20th, 1841, at Barkhamsted, Conn. He was a veteran private in Company A, Tenth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, was wounded at Spottsylvania Court House, May 12th, 1864, died on the 20th, at the Sixth Corps Hospital, Fredericksburg, Va., and was buried there, aged 30 years. At home his avocation was farming. He had no children. His widow was living. at Winsted, Conn., in 1871.

WILLIAM HENRY HART, Hudson, N. Y., second son of Newton Hart, of Egremont, Mass., and his wife, Martha Sophrone (Winchell), born January 25th, 1836, at Egremont; married at Millerton, N. Y., September 14th, 1864, Mary E. Brown, daughter of Milton, of Millerton, and his wife, Salina (Wheeler), born July 14th, 1845, at Millerton, N. Y., and died there, March 30th, 1868, aged 22 years, 8 months, 15 days, when second he married June 8th, 1870, Mariette W. Cheeney,
