daughter of Richard, and his wife, Catharine (Hosford), of Hudson, N. Y., born there February 4th, 1844. He has been a resident of Hudson since 1866, where he still resides. He is a dentist, and has been in practice for fifteen years. Previous to 1873 he had a large practice, and more of this world’s goods than is common to the Hart family, having been fortunate in speculations.

GEORGE LEMUEL HART, Egremont, Mass., third son of Newton Hart, of the same town, and his wife, Martha Sophrone (Winchell), born September 26th, 1838, at Egremont, Mass., and married February 13th, 1871, Harriet Jackson, of Colebrook, Conn. He was three years a member of Company A, Tenth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, and about one year in the Thirty-Sixth Regiment, of the same state.

TIMOTHY ARD HART, West Winsted, youngest son and child of Newton Hart, of Egremont, Berkshire County, Mass., and his wife, Martha Sophrone (Winchell), born December 27th, 1843, at Egremont; married                , Emma Tuttle, of Winsted. He lives on the old homestead of his father, in Winsted, and his avocation is farming. He served in the late war as corporal in Company E, Second Regiment Connecticut Heavy Artillery.

There is an error in the name of his first wife. It was not "Emma" Tuttle, but Emmerette Tuttle (born about 1849, died August 22,1899). Timothy and Emmerette were divorced April 17,1888 in Litchfield, CT. In addition to Reuben Elmer Hart, who may have died young), there were three other children:

          Burton Elmer, born December 17th, 1870; married           , Grace Warren.
          Wilbur Davis, born August 2th, 1879; married           , Ida Beauchamp.
          Floyd Clinton, Sr., born August 1881, died September 29th, 1952; married August 17, 1903, Mary Frances Smith in Newark, NJ. In addition to residing in Newark, they lived in Winsted, CT and then Colebrook, CT.

Timothy Ard was born December 27, 1843 in Sheffield, MA and died in Lake Como, FL on April 27, 1913.

He married second, May 8, 1890, Elisebeth (Bessie) Agnes Abercrombie, born in Fairmont, NY. She died, May 31, 1934, in Geneva, Florida. They had one son.

          John Abercrombie born May 10, 1891; He died,           , fairly young.

Timothy Ard Hart originally joined Company E 19th Regiment CT Infantry on August 19, 1862. He transferred to Company E 2nd Regiment CT Heavy Artillery in November or December 1863. He was honorably discharged July 7, 1865 as a Sgt. in Washington, D.C. ]

AMOS BUSHNELL HART, Plymouth, Conn., eldest son of Ard Hart, of Bristol, Conn., and his wife, Amanda (Hart), born May 10th, 1832; married November 4th, 1860, Almira, daughter of Sextus Gaylord, and his wife, Lorenda (Preston), born                . His avocation is farming, and he lives at East Church, in Plymouth, Conn.
