WILLIAM HART, Foxborough, Norfolk County, Mass., eldest son of Adna Hart, of Bristol, Conn., and his wife, Roxana (Yale), born May 15th, 1822, at Bristol, Conn.; married at Bellingham, Norfolk County, Mass., November 29th, 1849, Emeline Electa Thayer, daughter of Sylvanus, and his wife, Olive (Whiting), born August 19th, 1825, at Douglas, Worcester County, Mass. His avocation is a traveling merchant, and he was residing at Foxborough, October, 1871.

JOHN GAD HART, Bristol and New Britain, third son of Adna Hart, of Bristol, Conn., and his wife, Roxana (Yale), born February 1st, 1828, at Bristol; married November 12th, 1848, Abigail Benham, of West Hartford, daughter of Elias, and his wife, Sally (Wooding), born November 23d, 1828, at Burlington. His avocation was butchering, and for a time he lived opposite the house of Mrs. Maria Manross, at Forestville, where he followed his business, but subsequently removed to New Britain, two miles west of the city, a place formerly owned by Selah Andrews. Late in the afternoon of February 24th, 1868, while riding in a snow-storm from the city to his home, in a sleigh with Mr. Frederic Frisbee, of Plainville, they were run over at the crossing one mile west of the city, by the 4 o’clock P. M. train from Waterbury to Hartford. Mr. Frisbee was killed instantly, and Mr. Hart breathed only about an hour. He was 39 years of age, and Mr. Frisbee 30. In 1873 the Treat family owned the place where Mr. Hart lived.

BERNARD DWIGHT HART, Unionville, Conn., second son of Lewis Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Julia Ann, daughter of Amzi Root, of New Britain, born March 22d, 1851, at Farmington; married, February, 1871, Martha Burton, of Harwinton, of English descent.
