born Jan. 30th, 1767, and baptized there Feb. 8th, 1767. He married, Oct. 30th, 1793, Sarah Walter, born March 5th, 1766. They were both members of the church from early life. They removed to Marietta, O., in 1789, and in 1796, to Watertown, O., and in 1821, to Marion, Morgan Co., Ohio, where he was killed by the fall of a limb from a tree, Jan. 6th, 1836, aged 66 years. All the family are farmers. He was a magistrate for some fourteen years,—a man of excellent mind and judgment, and was greatly missed in the place, and mourned over, so great was the loss. 231. Norman, born Aug. 29th, 1795, died Aug., 1813, in
the army, at Sandusky, Ohio. CYPRIAN HART, of Kensington, sixth son of Nathaniel and his wife, Martha (Norton), was born , at Kensington, and baptized there Feb. 5th, 1769, by Rev. Samuel Clark, then pastor of that church. He was adopted by his uncle, Gen. Selah Hart, with whom he lived, and whose estate he inherited. He married, Dec. 24th, 1795, Lucy, daughter of Elijah Hooker, of Kensington, and his wife, Susannah (Seymour), was born Jan. 13th, 1772, in Kensington. He resided on the old homestead of his uncle, Gen. Selah Hart, where the late Oliver Moore lived, and died there March 1st, 1806, aged 37 years. His widow Lucy was admitted to Kensington church the same month, and had her six children baptized the subsequent November. She died July 8th, 1851, aged 50 years.
