LUCY HOOKER HART, Kensington, third daughter of Cyprian Hart, of the same place, and his wife Lucy, daughter of Elijah Hooker, Esq., was born Nov. 14th, 1803, at Kensington, and married there, Nov. 1st, 1826, Selden Peck, of "Blue Hills," son of Lemuel and his wife, Lydia Dickinson, born Jan. 25th, 1794, at Kensington. He was a prosperous farmer, became infirm, and late in life they removed to Meriden, where he died July 31st, 1872, aged 78 years. She also died there Nov. 12th, 1872, aged 69 years. Their children were, Sherman, Hattie G., Henry H., George Selden, and Lucy Ann. EMILY HART, Kensington, youngest child of Cyprian Hart, of the same place, and his wife Lucy, daughter of Elijah Hooker, Esq., was born May 19th, 1805, at Kensington; was baptized there Nov., 1806; and there died April 30th, 1835, aged 30 years. A tombstone at the cemetery south of Berlin railroad station shows where she lies. She joined the church in Kensington, 1828. Died single. Tuscaloosa, Ala., Selada, Bell Co., Texas.
VELINA HART,
Tuscaloosa, Ala., second son of Stephen Hurlburt Hart, of Winsted, Conn.,
Litchfield, and other localities, and his wife, Lucinda (Cook), daughter
of Amos, of Wallingford, and wife Hosford, was born Oct. 19th, 1795, at
Wallingford. He married, 1821, Elizabeth Stephens, of N. C., born there
Jan. 31st, 1801, and they had nine children. He died Oct. .19th, 1867,
aged 72 years, at Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was by trade and occupation a tinner.
The widow Elizabeth lives (1874) at Selada, Bell Co., Texas. THEIR CHILDREN, BEING THE EIGHTH GENERATION.
