LUCY HOOKER HART, eldest daughter of Stephen Hurlburt Hart, of Litchfield, and Winsted, Conn., and his wife, Lucinda (Cook), sister of John, Sr., of Plainville, was born Jan. 26th, 1799. She married, Oct. 26th, 1817, Leonard R. Griswold, of Bristol, Conn., and they had four children; only one, Henry,. survives (1874).

ROSWELL COOK HART, New Haven, Ct., third son of Stephen Hurlburt Hart, of Litchfield, Harwinton and Winsted, Conn., and his wife, Lucinda (Cook), was born July 20th, 1801. He married, March 11th, 1827, Polly Grant, of                    , born                     . They reside in New Haven, Conn., where he keeps a hotel. They have no children.

LUCINDA HART, of Winsted, second daughter of Stephen Hurlburt Hart, of Litchfield, Harwinton, and Winsted, and his wife, Lucinda (Cook), sister of John, Sr., of Plainville, Conn., was born Feb. 2d, 1804. She married, July 23d,         , Wm. S. Hungerford, a merchant of Wolcottville, Conn., and St. Louis, Mo. They have four children, viz.: Adelaide, born March 15th, 1828; Sarah S., born April 25th, 1830; Arthur F., born March 10th, 1834; Jane E., born May 12th, 1838. Sarah Sophia, married,                , James Brown, a native of New Jersey.

SOPHIA COOK HART, Waterbury, Conn., fourth daughter of Stephen Hurlburt Hart, of Winsted, and his wife Lucinda, daughter of Amos Cook, of Wallingford, and his wife,               Horseford, was born Sept. 4th, 1809, and she married, April 26th, 1852, George Henry Blunt Bowditch, born at Salem, Mass.,—living now (1874) at Waterbury, Conn.
