2161. Wallingford, Conn.
ELLEN HART, Durham, Conn., third daughter of William A. Hart, of the same town, and his wife, Sally (Jones), born March 11th, 1841, at Durham; married August 29th, 1861, Isaac Hale, of Wallingford, the youngest son of Peter Hale, and his wife, Delight (Kirtland). He is a farmer, and resides at the house of his father, in Wallingford. CHARLES HART, Durham, Conn., third son of William A. Hart, of the same town, and his wife, Sally (Jones), born April 2d, 1843, at Durham; married February 8th, 1870, in New Haven, Isabella Burns, of Scotch descent. He served four years in the late war, first as corporal in the Fifteenth Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, and then as captain in the One Hundred and Ninth Regiment United States Colored Infantry, where he remained in service until the war closed. In 1874 he was one of the firm of Strong, Hart & Co., City Market, New Haven, Conn. FREDERIC HART, Durham, Conn., fourth son of William A. Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Sally (Jones), born February 2d, 1845, at Durham; married November 27th, 1867, Fannie J. Frost, of New Haven. He served four years in the late war, first as a private in the First Connecticut Regiment, then as lieutenant in the One Hundred and Ninth United States Colored Infantry. In 1872 he was in the employ of the Hartford and New Haven Railroad Company as freight agent, and resided in New Haven. GEORGE F. HART, Pennfield, Lorain County, Ohio, eldest son of Edward Hart, of Durham, Conn., and his wife, Emma L. (Merriman), born May 4th, 1836, at Durham. He went with his parents to Pennfield, Ohio, in 1837, and married February 18th, 1857, Harriet L. Hull. He was a member of the Congregational Church. He removed from Pennfield, Ohio, to Athens, Mich., thence to Sherwood, and then back to Pennfield, where he died, September 18th, 1864, aged 28 years, when second she married March 31st, 1867, Lewis Hart.
