October 25th, 1791; married February 17th, 1822, Emeline E. Ingraham, of Saybrook. He died June 6th, 1833, aged 42 years.

JOHN HART, Lyme, Conn., eldest son of John Hart, of Saybrook, Conn., and his wife, who was Widow Nancy Bull, born March 11th, 1784, at Saybrook, and settled at Lyme as a merchant in 1807; married June 25th, 1811, Nancy Matthews, of Old Lyme, daughter of Sylvester, and his wife, Elizabeth. She died June 22d, 1834, when second he married August 25th, 1835, Margaret, daughter of Thomas Sill, and his wife, Mehitabel, of Old Lyme. He was a merchant in Old Lyme some forty years, and from thence he removed to Clinton, Oneida County, N. Y., in 1853, with his family, where he died, July 7th, 1858, aged 74 years. The widow and her three children were still there in 1871.

           Sylvester Mather, born May 29th, 1812; died December 7th, 1816, aged 4 years.

2499. Philip Augustus, born September 9th, 1839. He was single in 1874, and is a merchant at Clinton, N. Y.
2500. Louis Henry, born June 7, 1846; married March 18, 1874, Mary Williams.
2501. Margaret Sill, born July 13th, 1850.

RICHARD MORRISON HART, Edinburgh, Portage County, Ohio, third son of John Hart, of Saybrook, Conn., and his wife, who was Widow Nancy Bull, born May 9th, 1795, at Saybrook. He was a farmer at Edinburgh, Ohio, in 1873. He married, May, 1818, Betsey Ingham, daughter of William, who died in 1838, at Edinburgh, Ohio, when second he married                   , Sarah B. Averill, daughter of Nathaniel P., of Salisbury, Conn. She had no children.
