2498.                       New Britain, Conn.

LOUISA ELY HART, New Haven, Conn., second daughter of John Hart, of Lyme, and his first wife, Nancy (Mather), born September 10th, 1832, at Lyme, Conn.; married September 9th, 1845, Rev. William Whittlesey, eldest son of Deacon David, of New Britain, Conn., and his wife, Rebecca (Smalley), born September 19th, 1805, at New Britain, Conn., where he was admitted to the church, October 7th, 1821. He graduated at Yale College in 1827, and was ordained to the ministry in 1837. He was a Sunday School Missionary at the west, preached in various places, and was a teacher in several localities. He built near his father in New Britain, but sold, and was living at New Haven in 1874. She was admitted to the church in New Britain, October 8th, 1854, by letter from the Chapel Street Church, New Haven. She is an intelligent and well educated woman. They have one child, Louise Hart, born May 23d, 1847, at New Haven. She was admitted to the Congregational Church in New Britain, June 6th, 1858, and is living single with her parents at New Haven in 1875.

LEWIS HENRY HART, Clinton, N. Y., second son of John Hart, the merchant, of Lyme, Conn., and Clinton, N. Y., and his second wife, Margaret, daughter of Thomas Sill, of Lyme, Conn., born June 7th, 1846, at Lyme, Conn.; married at Utica, N. Y., before Rev. Dr. Correy, Miss Mary Williams, of Utica, N. Y., March 18th, 1874. He is a dry goods merchant in Clinton, N. Y.

CHARLES RICHARD HART, Edinburgh, Ohio, only son of Richard Morrison Hart, of the same town, and his first wife, Betsey (Ingham), daughter of William, of Saybrook, Conn., born February 16th, 1825, at Edinburgh, Portage County, Ohio; married, August, 1836, Lorinda R. Davis, of the same place, where he followed farming. He was a soldier in the late war, in Company F, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He died at his home in Portage County, April 25th, 1862, aged 37. His widow and children were residing there in 1874. He was a member of a masonic lodge, who attended his funeral, and followed him to his grave in Ravenna, Ohio.
