CHARLES EDWARD HART, Clinton, N. Y., fifth son of John Hart, of Saybrook, and his wife, who was Widow Nancy Bull, born, January, 1797; married            , Phebe Mather Sill, daughter of Thomas, and his wife, Mehitabel, of Old Lyme, where she was born, November 27th, 1802, and died August 30th, 1869, at Clinton. He died April 14th, 1869.

FERDINAND AUSTIN HART, Middletown, forth son of Joseph Hart, of Say- brook, and his wife, Eunice (Ellery), born September 10th, 1796, in Hart- ford; married June 12th, 1827, Sarah A. Cook, daughter of George and Phebe, of Hartford. He settled in New Britain, Conn., where he became one of the trustees of the Methodist Church. He also engaged somewhat largely in the manufacture of suspenders, but removed to Middletown, April, 1832, where he has carried on the same business. He wrote, September 10th, 1873, and said: “I am 77 to-day, and I am in good health.” But he died December 27th, 1873, aged 77 years, 3 months, 17 days.
