JAMES HART, New Britain, second son of Jehudah Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Mary (Munson), born May 22d, 1773, at New Britain; married, June, 1793, Sylvia, daughter of Nathaniel Pennfield, of New Britain, and his wife, Lydia (Barnes), born, June, 1774, at New Britain; He was a farmer by occupation, and built opposite his father in Hart Quarter. He died in a fit, March 29th, 1813, aged 40 years. His family became scattered, and his house finally disappeared. His widow second married January 7th, 1818, John Wyard, of Wolcott. She died at St. Mary's, Anglaise County, Ohio, October 20th, 1852, in her 79th year.

SYLVIA HART, New Britain, Conn., third daughter of Jehudah Hart, of the same place, and his first wife, Mary (Munson), born April 15th, 1777, at New Britain. She lived at the home of her father during his life, and then in various families—having no certain dwelling place. She was never married. She retained her faculties to old age, especially her memory. She was admitted to the Congregational Church in New Britain, October 1st, 1809, and from thence she went to the South Church in 1842. She was supported in old age in part by the church and in part by the town, but chiefly by her nephew, O. Seymour. She died at the old house of Chester Hart's, New Britain, May 9th, 1864, aged 87 years and 24 days.

JOEL HART, New Britain, Conn., third son of Jehudah Hart, of the same place, and his first wife, Mary (Munson), born June 14th, 1779, at New Britain; married September 17th, 1800, Lydia North, daughter of Jedediah, of Berlin, and his second wife, Abigail (Andrews), born 1780.
