died May 26th, 1816, aged 56 years. His daughter, Diantha, kept house for him, after the death of Mrs. Woodruff, for several years, and .the last years of life he spent with his children. The old house was finally drawn away and converted into a cement mill. He died at the house of Gad Andrews, who had married his daughter, Diantha. Their children were—1, Keziah, born April 12th, 1780, married October 28th, 1800, Levi Barnes; 2, Amanda, born June 5th, 1782, married October 25th, 1802, Joel Gridley; 3, Phebe, born June 20th, 1785, died January 5th, 1794, in her 9th year; 4, Diantha, born November 12th, 1803, married May 1st, 1833, Gad Andrews.

SELAH HART, Winchester, Conn., second son of Luke Hart, of Southington, and his wife, Deborah (Barnes), born 1766; baptized March 23d, 1766, at Southington. He went to Winchester with his parents in 1786. He lived in Winchester until about 1812, when he removed to Canaan, Conn., and on the 16th of January, 1817, Selah Hart, for $30 of David Andrus, of Norfolk, deeded to him two acres of land. He was the tallest man in Winchester, measuring six feet, five and one-half inches. He labored at laying stone wall, and was poor in this world’s goods, but rich in faith, love, and charity. He was a father and strong pillar of the Methodist Church, and a devout, kind hearted, and much loved man. He married                     , Rachel Hemsted. He entered the army of the revolution at sixteen years of age, and served one year, when the war closed. He was a stone mason by trade. His wife died about 1830. He died February 17th, 1834, aged 72 years.

STEPHEN HART, Winchester, Conn., third son of Luke Hart, of Southington, and his wife, Deborah (Barnes), born at Southington in 1767. He went to Winchester with his parents in 1786, and married Sarah Munson, of Middlebury, Conn. He died at Winchester, September 17th, 1833, aged 66 years.
