Ephraim, son of Ephraim Smith, of Farrnington, and his wife, Rachel (Cole), born December 16th, 1690. She died there May 31st, 1744, aged 52 years, when second he married January 24th, 1744-5, Elizabeth Smith. He had no children by his first wife, but three by his second wife. 677. Farmington, Conn.
ANNA HART, second daughter of Stephen Hart, 3d, of Farmington, and his wife, Sarah (Cowles), born August 18th, 1695, at Farmington; married there, December 23d, 1714, Samuel Porter, son of Samuel, of Farmington, born there September 17th, 1691, and became a deacon of that church. She died September 13th, 1758, aged 63 years. He died October 8th, 1768, aged 77 years. They had-1, Elijah, born April 27th, 1721; 2. Anna, born December 20th, 1724; and probably others. 678. ABIGAIL HART, third daughter of Stephen Hart, 3d, of Farmington, and his wife, Sarah (Cowles), born February 28th, 1702, at Farmington; married June 11th, 1729, Stephen Cole, of Kensington, son of John, and his wife, Mehitabel (Loomis), of Windsor, born October 3d, 1698. She died October 20th, 1736, aged 34 years, when he second married April 26th, 1745, Lydia Benton, of Hartford. He and Abigail had-1, Sarah, born April 15th, 1730; 2, Mary, born February 18th, 1731-2, married March 4th, 1754, Selah Hart; 3, Abigail, born June 25th, 1735. TIMOTHY HART, Farmington, second son of Stephen Hart, 3d, of the same place, and his wife, Sarah (Cowles), born August 31st, 1705, at Farmington; married October 2 5th, 1728, Elizabeth, daughter of Isaac Cowles, of Farmington, and his wife, Mary (Andrews), born May 24th, 1705, at Farmington, and died November 29th, 1740, aged 39 years. He held the military rank of sergeant. He was killed by a cart-wheel October 3d, 1748, aged 43 years. He lived on his father's place, was a large land-holder, and left an estate of £3,000. He had a second wife, Mary. THEIR CHILDREN, BEING THE FIFTH GENERATION.
