CHAUNCEY HART, New Britain, eldest son of Roger Hart, of same place, and his first wife Sibil (Robinson), was born Oct. 5th, 1795, at New Britain, and married, May 3d, 1821, Polly Markum, daughter of Isaac, of New Hartford, and his wife Rachel (Boardman), of West Society, Middletown, born Oct. 1st, 1801. He is a carriage-maker, and lives on Windsor street, Hartford. His wife learned to be a tailoress of Jerusha Mather, of New Britain, Conn., but (1874) lives in Philadelphia, as does also his son, Emery Hart.

ROSWELL HART, New Britain, third son of Roger Hart of the same place, and his first wife, Sibil (Robinson), was born Sept. 1st, 1802, at New Britain, and married, Feb. 12th, 1826, Eliza Steele, daughter of Ebenezer, and his second wife Hannah (Brewer), born Sept. 27th, 1802, at New Britain. He learned harness-making of Bodwell, of Farmington, and lived in Plymouth, Mich.

WILLIAM STRICKLAND HART, New Britain, fourth son of Roger Hart, of same place, and his first wife Sibil (Robinson), was born Oct. 14th, 1805, at New Britain. He married, Aug.30th, 1827, Sarah, daughter of Theodore Barnes and his wife Hannah (Bartlett), who died March 24th, 1858, of cancer; when, second, he married, Sept.
