258.                       Farmington, Conn.

AZUBA HART, eldest daughter of Roger Hart, of New Britain, and his first wife Sibil (Robinson), was born July 7th, 1789, at New Britain. She married, Dec. 13th, 1807, Allen Goodrich, of Farmington, son of Elias. She died April 15th, 1817, aged 28 years, at New Britain, Conn.

BETSEY HART, New Britain, second daughter of Roger Hart, of the same place, and his first wife Sibil (Robinson), born Sept. 17th, 1791, at New Britian. She married, March 12th, 1815, John, son of Nath'l Pennfield, of same place, and his wife Eunice (Kelsey), born Oct. 18th, 1791, at New Britain. He was a cooper and farmer, and lived on the place just west of his father's, built for his brother Silas, who died. He lost one leg by the fall of a tree. He was admitted to the Congregational church, in New Britain, Feb. 2d, 1812, and subsequently, about 1830, joined the Methodist church with his wife. She died of cancer Oct. 21st, 1849, aged 58 years; he died July 15th, 1846, aged 55 years-both remarkably devout Christians. They had, 1, Eliza Ann, born Jan. 16th, 1816; 2, Jane Maria, born Sept. 25th, 1818, married, Aug. 28th, 1842, George Williams; 3, Burnham Hart, born April 2d, 1824, married, May 10th, 1846, Annette Judd; 4, Chester, born, Aug. 21st, 1831, married, Dec. 22d, 1850, Sarah Hamilton, of Hartford.

POLLY HART, New Britain, Conn., third daughter of Roger Hart, of the same place, and his first wife Sibil (Robinson), of Middletown, was born June 5th, 1793, at New Britain. She married, Nov. 27th, 1828, Geo., son of John Cook, of Farmington, and his wife Lucina (Lewis), born March 13th, 1788, at White Oak in Farmington. He was a nice farmer, a man of kind impulses an4 excellent understanding, and resided at the old and noted tavern stand of his father. He died Sept. 8th, 1864, aged 76 years; she died Jan. 27th, 1866, aged 73 years-was a faithful wife and kind mother. They left one son, George (1874), single, and one daughter, Mary, who married Mr. West, Yonkers.
