ABEL HART, Kensington, eldest son of Ebenezer Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Martha, born February 22d, 1747, at Kensington, then a parish of Farmington; married September 13th, 1769, Mary Galpin, daughter of Caleb, born Oct. 21st, 1753, and sister of Deacon Daniel, of Worthington. About 1774 he removed to Stockbridge, Mass., and from thence to Candor, Tioga County, N. Y. He was a blacksmith by trade and occupation. He died in 1802, aged 55 years. She lived until 1845. They had one son and ten daughters.
