Mystery Hart Documents

Can You Read Them?

These documents are included in a large collection of Hart documents. So far, we have not been able to read them completely. Based on the handwriting, they appear to be from the 17th century, or maybe early 18th century.

They may concern Stephen Hart's son Thomas, or Thomas' son, Hawkins, or possibly their spouses, or spouses' immediate ancestors. They appear to be related to real estate transfers or inventories or the division of an estate. The documents are probably unrelated to each other. Document 3 appears to describe the division of Stephen Hart's property, or some of it, between his sons. Document 4a contains the signature of Nathaniel Roys, the father of Sarah Roys. She was the wife of Hawkins Hart.
