Gravestone of Stephen Hart, Second

The grave of Stephen Hart, II is one of the oldest in the Old Farmington Cemetery. The old stone has a larger one in back of it that shows what the old stone says. His grave is inscribed with the following:

55   DESC
18:7 1689

This is interpreted to mean "Stephen Hart, aged 55 years, deceased the 18 day of the 7th month of the year 1689." Based on this information, Stephen Hart would have been born in 1634. In 1634, his family was living in Newtowne, now called Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a bit controversial, as he has also been said to have been born in England.
