patrimony from her uncle, Lemuel, of Yonkers, N. Y., with which they built a good and substantial dwelling-house on the corner of Middletown Turnpike and Shuttle Meadow Road. He died there March 20th, 1865, aged 72 years. This place was sold to Mr. Albert A. Mason, and she removed to her house on Arch Street, next south of the South Church, in the city of New Britain.

BETSEY HART, New Britain, second daughter of Captain Aaron, of the same place, and his wife, Sarah (Francis), of Newington, born February 26th, 1803, at New Britain; married April 10th, 1822, John, son of John Judd, and his wife, Ursula (Stanley), born March 25th, 1796, at New Britain. He is a shoe-maker by trade, and lived many years on the Shuttle Meadow Road, but in 1875 he is in the city, on Arch Street. She was admitted to the Congregational Church, October 7th, 1827. He was admitted, January 4th, 1829. They were both admitted to the South Church in 1842. Their children were—1, Luman Stanley, born June 9th, 1824, married, February, 1844, Martha Hotchkiss, of Boston; 2, Francis Deming, born February 3d, 1827; 3, Sarah Hart, born July 10th, 1829; 4, John Bernard, born December 18th, 1831, married November 30th, 1854, Eliza H. Keeney, of New York; 5, Frederick William, born June 31st, 1834; 6, Ellen Nancy, born September 27th, 1837, married April 10th, 1860, George C. Gridley, son of Solomon D.

[ Although the birth date of Frederick William Judd is presented here as June 31st, 1834, it is certainly incorrect, as there are only 30 days in June. ]

AARON HART, New Britain, fourth son of Captain Aaron, of the same place, and his wife, Sarah (Francis), of Newington, born November 25th, 1805, at New Britain; married November 27th, 1827, Abigail Bronson Andrews, daughter of Dr. John, and his second wife, Caroline, daughter of Jesse Bronson, of Kensington, born May 16th, 1806. He was a joiner, which trade he learned of Captain Selah Porter, of Farmington. He built nearly opposite his father’s place in Hart Quarter, but sold, and lived in various localities. They were members of the Congregational Church. He died by being pricked with the
