1925.      New Britain, Kensington, Conn.

BENJAMIN HART, New Britain, eldest son of Benjamin Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Mary (Fuller), born February 7th, 1773; married, January 30th, 1800, Hannah Kellogg, of Newington, daughter of Martin, and his wife, Hannah (Bobbins), born January 17th, 1774, at Newington. She died there of cancer, July 28th, 1824, aged 50 years, when second he married July 15th, 1832, Almira Carter, daughter of Ithiel, of Kensington, and his wife, Lois (Deming), born 1782. She died September 11th, 1847, aged 65 years, and has a tombstone in the cemetery south of the railroad station in Kensington. Mr. Hart was a farmer by occupation. He taught school several seasons in early manhood. He lived in Newington several years, but made it his home in Kensington, half a mile south-west of the church. He bought his arm of Phineas Andrews when he went to Leyden, N. Y. He was occasionally partially insane the last few years of his life. He died July 11th, 1856, aged 83 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

New Britain, Conn., East Windham, N. Y.

ROXANNA HART, New Britain, third daughter of Benjamin Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Mary (Fuller), born June 21st, 1780, at New Britain; married November 9th, 1797, Leonard Belden, Jr., son of Leonard, Sr., and his wife, Hannah (Judd), born July 13th, 1778. He lived at the home of his father and grandfather, Ezra, on East Street, in New Britain, and was a farmer. He died March 8th, 1807, aged 29 years. She was admitted to the Congregational Church in New Britain, April 3d, 1808, and was dismissed by letter to the church at East Windham, N. Y. She lived at Big Hollow, Green County, N. Y., where she died, February 12th, 1864, in her 84th year. Children, viz: 1, Emily Hart, born September 12th, 1798; 2, Hannah Judd, born July 23d, 1800; 3, Rhoda Roxalina, born August 24th, 1802; 4; George Dunham, born February 7th, 1805; 5, Leonard Dix, born January 29th, 1807.
