BUCK.

BETSEY HART, eldest daughter of Dr. Josiah Hart, of Wethersfield, Conn., and his second wife, Mrs. Abigail Harris, born December 22d, 1778, at Wethersfield; married                     , Titus Buck, son of Samuel, of Wethersfield, and his wife, Elizabeth Blinn, and lived in Marietta, Ohio. When the family of Dr. Hart was about to remove to Marietta, she objected to going until she had married Titus Buck, and she did it.

DEVOE.

CLARISSA HART, second daughter of Dr. Josiah Hart, of New Brit- ain and Wethersfield, Conn., and subsequently of Marietta, Ohio, and his second wife, who was the Widow Abigail Harris, of Wethersfield, born about 1780, at Wethersfield. After the decease of her mother at Wethersfield, about 1796, she went with her father to Marietta, Ohio. She married                     , Wing Devoe, of Marietta, and lived on the Muskingum River, some four miles above Marietta. They had a son, Josiah, who lives on the old homestead, a daughter, Emeline, who married Hon. George Barker, of Ohio, and lived in Missouri in 1874, and a son, William, who married a granddaughter of General Israel Putnam, and they have his military coat, and his wife’s bridal dress, which is made of brocade silk. Mrs. Devoe died January 25th, 1871, aged 88. Mr. Devoe died, February, 1868, in his 90th year.

VANCE.

CYNTHIA HART, youngest daughter of Dr. Josiah Hart, of New Britain and Wethersfield, Conn., and subsequently of Marietta, Ohio, and his second wife, who was Mrs. Abigail Harris, of Wethersfield, born about 1782, at Wethersfield, and after the decease of her mother at Wethersfield, she removed with her father to Marietta in 1796, and there married                     ,            Vance, and they lived at the state capital, Columbus. She died in 1872, aged 90 years.
