POLLY HART, second daughter of Jonathan Hart, of Paris, Herkimer County, N. Y., and his flrst wife, Mary (Coe), born October 3d, 1779; married         , Elisha Hills, of Marshall, Oneida County, N. Y. She died about 1850. They had Ira Hart, Mary Eliza, who married Rev. Luther Myrick, and seven others, viz: Leander, Esther, Nelson, Seth, Jane, Polly, and Lowly.

SETH HART, Clinton, Oneida County, N. Y., fourth son of Jonathan Hart, of Herkimer County, N. Y., and his flrst wife, Mary (Coe), born November 25th, 1781, at Bristol, Conn.; married         , Louisa Hickox, of Clinton, N. Y. He died January 15th, 1806, aged 24 years, 1 month, and 20 days, when second she married          Thrall, and removed with her son to St. Louis, Mo.

JOSIAH HART, Virgil, Cortland County, N. Y., fifth son of Jonathan Hart, of Paris, Herkimer County, N. Y., and his first wife, Mary (Coe), born April 2d, 1784, at Bristol, Conn. He went with his parents to Paris, and about 1805 he married Sophronia Gridley, daughter of Noadiah, formerly of Southington. Mr. Hart has been a member of the New York Legislature one term, and was justice of the peace several years. In the spring of 1815 he removed to Paris, and from thence to Hartford, Cortland County, N. Y., where he lived until 1853, when he retired from active business, and removed to Cortlandville, where he died, July 19th, 1866, aged 80 years. He possessed a strong mind and vigorous constitution, and liberally supported the Universalist Church at Hartford, N. Y., where his wife died, February 1st, 1851.
