tenance, quick thought, good native abilities, had a warm imagination, generous, but passionate." [These remarks are by his brother, John, in the old family Bible.—ED.] He died February 13th, 1793, aged 34 years; and on the 15th of February, while the funeral was being attended, word came that Daniel Allen, Mrs. Hart's father, had been found dead in his store at the place owned by Walter Woodruff in 1873, known as the Hobart place. Mrs. Hart second married October 10th, 1796, Asahel Gridley, of the same town. She died August 8th, 1846, aged 82 years. Mr. Hart's Will was dated February 10th, 1793, in substance as follows: I give my wife £20 in household goods, and one-third of my real estate to improve. I give my three sons, Murray; Levi, and John Albert, £20 each, to be paid at majority, and all my real estate to be divided equally.
Item.—I give my brothers, John and Wells, all the debts due me at my decease, except a note due me from my father, John Hart; and I give these brothers my stock in trade, i. e., all merchandize I have in partnership with Elizur Andrews, and all the goods I have at Turkey Hills, and I give my said brothers my sleigh, sulkey, and harness, on condition they pay all my debts, and to my wife £60 to use in support of my children, &c.

WELLS HART, Southington, third and youngest son of John Hart, of the same town, and his wife, Desire (Palmer), born         ; married in Bristol, Conn., August 4th, 1793, Polly Root, of Bristol. He was a copartner in the mercantile business, at Windsor, Conn., with his brother, John, about 1795, as the following notice, which appeared in the Connecticut Courant at that time, will show:

"NOTICE.—The late partnership of John Hart and Wells Hart, known as the firm of John & Wells Hart, was by mutual agreement dissolved, on the 22d day of March, 1795. The subscriber does not consider himself holden by any contract made since that time, unless personally executed by himself. The concerns of the late partnership will be adjusted by the subscriber."
