ELDAD HART, New Britain, second son of Daniel Hart, of Farmington, and his wife, Abigail (Thompson), born March 22d, 1736-7, at New Britain, He married, July 3d, 1761, Achsah Stevens, daughter of Benjamin, and his wife, Comfort (Kelsey), born June 13th, 1743. He lived in Stanley Quarter, a section of New Britain, at the foot of Clark Hill. He died September 22d, 1776, aged 40 years. She second married Allen.

STEPHEN HART, New Britain, Conn., fourth son of Daniel Hart, of Farmington, and his wife, Abigail (Thompson), daughter of Thomas, born December 8th, 1744, at New Britain; married October 8th, 1767, Rhoda, daughter of Charles Stedman, and his wife, Jemima (Gaines), of Wethersfield. He was a farmer, and had an impediment in his speech. He lived in Stanley Quarter, at the foot of Clark Hill, and inherited his father's estate, which was one of the three farms and families excepted in the incorporation of the society or parish of New Britain. He died November 20th, 1816, aged 71 years. She died March 26th, 1832, aged 81 years. She was received by letter from the Farmington Church, December 7th, 1823, to the church of New Britain.

NOTE.-Administration granted on his estate, November 5th, 1776, to Achsah, the widow, and to Stephen Hart, Jr. The commissioners on the estate were James Lusk and John Fuller.
