EBENEZER HART, New Britain, eldest son of Stephen Hart, of that place, and his wife, Rhoda (Stedman), born February 8th, 1768, at New Britain; married October 2d, 1791, Lucy, daughter of Andrew Jerome, of Bristol, Conn., and his wife, Chloe (Sage), born February 6th, 1773, at Bristol, and was brought up in the Rev, Samuel Newell's family. He died of yellow fever on his passage home from the West Indies, May 30th, 1798, aged 31 years, when she second married July 27th, 1799, Allen Steele, son of Josiah. She died November 24th, 1820, aged 48 years.

MARY HART, eldest daughter of Stephen Hart, Sr., of New Britain Conn., and his wife, Rhoda (Stedman), born June 25th, 1770, at New Britain; married August 1st, 1793, Chauncey, son of Abraham Merrills, of Wethersfield. They lived on the north side of Dublin Hill, in New Britain. She was admitted to the Congregational Church there, February 2d, 1800, and died March 12th, 1825, aged 55 years. They had—I, Rhoda Hart, married January 22d, 1822, Jerry D. Goodrich; 2, Mary Hart, born December 30th, 1802, married, December, 1819, John Bunce; 3, Judith Brace, baptized June 16th, 1805, married September 21st, 1826, Austin Mosier; 4, William Walter, baptized June 26th, 1808, died Æ. 2 years, 6 months.
