HART, Kensington, oldest son
of Nathaniel, of same place,.and his wife, Martha
(Norton), was born Nov. 23d, 1759, at Kensington, and baptized May
4th, 1760, by Rev. Samuel Clark, pastor; married, June 25th, 1786, Cynthia,
daughter of Jonathan Langdon, of Kensington, and his wife, Elizabeth (Edwards),
born May 14th, 1765, baptized May 19th, 1765, at Kensington. They were
both admitted to church there July, 1787. He held the military rank of
Major. He lived for a time at Castleton, Vt., but returned to Farmington,
where he died 1834. She died 1824, aged 59 years. THEIR CHILDREN BEING THE SEVENTH GENERATION.

1787 baptized Sept. 16th, 1787, married, Erastus Washburn. SETH HART, Kensington, second son of Nathaniel Hart, of same place, and his wife, Martha (Norton), was born Aug: 19th, 1761, at Kensington, married, , Anna Goodrich. He was a tailor by trade. He lived for a time in Glastonbury, where he was a member of that church. He removed to Rocky Hill, and carried with him a letter of recommendation to that church, Dec. 2d, 1787, for himself and wife, where he became, July 24th, 1808, a deacon. In his tailor shop in the center of the place, he also had a drug and confectionery connected. His wife Anna died June 27th, 1799, in child-bed, when, second, he married, Nov. 10th, 1799, widow Lydia Bull, widow of Dr. Bull, and danghter of Williams. She died March 5th, 1812, aged fifty years, when, third, he married, Aug. 9th, 1812, Lucy Boardman, daughter of Elnathan. He died in Rocky Hill, Dec. 12th, 1813, aged 53 years. |
