31.                               Kensington.

OLIVER HART, eldest son of Matthew Hart, of Kensington, and his wife, Sarah (Hooker), born July 15th, 1733, at Kensington, married, Dec. 17th, 1766, Mary Scovill, sister of Ezra Scovill, Esq. Mr. Hart was a large land-holder, had no heirs, and gave his estate to Ashbel Dickinson. He died Nov. 22d, 1812, aged 79 years. His widow, Mrs. Mary Hart, died at the house of Ashbel Dickinson, in Kensington, Jan. 12th, 1836, aged 89 years. Tombstones are erected to their memory in the Blue Hills cemetery. Their child, Elizabeth, born Dec. 19th, 1769, died young.

MATTHEW HART, youngest child of Matthew Hart, of Kensington, and his wife, Sarah (Hooker), born (posthumous) Jan. 23d, 1736-7, at Kensington, married, Nov. 15th, 1759, Elizabeth Hopkins; they lived at Kensington, in the house lately owned and occupied by Shelden Moore, Esq., deceased. He was admitted to the church in Kensington Oct. 5th, 1760, and his wife, Elizabeth, Nov. 27th, 1768. They removed to Whitestown, N.Y., or De Ruyter, N. Y., where he died, 1811.

ANNA HART, Kensington, eldest daughter of Lieut. Samuel and his wife, Mary (Hooker), born Sept. 25th, 1724, in Kensington, married, Oct. 15th, 1747, Thomas Hollister, of Kensington, and subsequently of New Britain; they lived in the house next north of Elijah Hinsdale, on East street. They had one child, born July 23d, 1748.
