CAPT. GEORGE OBED HART, Paducah, McCracken County, Ky., fifth son of Rev. Edson Hart, of Louisville, Ky., and his first wife, Helen (Priestly), born August 7th, 1834, at Germany, Penn.; married March 13th, 1855, Addie H. Slent, of Lexington, Ky., born December 3d, 1834, in New York City. They were residing at Paducah, Ky., in 1871. During the late war he was captain of a steam-boat running on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, from Louisville to Memphis and New Orleans, as a steamer was able to get through for the southern army.
