Farmington; married October 6th, 1835, Edward I. Welton, of Watertown, who died March 14th, 1864, when second she married April 1st, 1868, Porter Edwards, of West Hartford, Conn. They are living at No. 4½ Chestnut Street, Hartford, Conn. Children, all by first marriage, viz: 1, Lewis I. Welton, born May 14th, 1837; 2, Frederick Hart, born May 8th, 1839; 3, Mary E., born March 15th, 1841; 4, Theodore D., born November 27th, 1842, was in the army, and was killed at Fort Wagner, July 11th, 1863; 5, Josephine M., born October 13th, 1844; 6, Julia A., born December 13th, 1846; 7, Jennie E., born February 8th, 1850; 8, Edward H., born July 8th, 1853.

HENRY HART, Farmington, second son of Zenas Hart, of the same town, and his wife, Rachel (Lewis), born about 1816, at Farmington; married in• 1835, Sarah G. Taylor, of Glastonbury, daughter of Benjamin, and his wife, Electa (Chapman), who died, when second he married in 1838, Lucy, daughter of Hubbard Gladdin, and his wife, Maria (Belden). He was a blacksmith by trade and occupation, was a soldier in Company B, Seventh Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, and died at Hilton Head.

RICHARD HART, New Britain, Conn., third son of Zenas Hart, of Farmungton, and his wife, Rachel (Lewis), born January 2d, 1818, at Farmington; married Catharine Gladden. They parted, and he second married December 23d, 1849, Mary, daughter of John R. Jones, of New Britain, and his first wife, Emeline (Franklin), born August 9th, 1831, at New Britain. His residence is the westernmost house on West Main Street, two miles west of the city. He was a blacksmith by trade, but has been one of the first rule makers in New Britain.
