FANNY HART, St. Charles, Mo., fourth daughter of Simeon Hart, of Burlington, Conn., and his first wife, Mary (Warner), born December 29th, 1800; married William Hill, who removed to St. Charles, Mo., where she died January 26th, 1825, aged 24 years.

LUCAS WETMORE HART, Burlington, eldest son of Simeon Hart, of the same town and county, and his second wife, Pamelia Pettibone (Wetmore), born December 26th, 1822, at Burlington, and was educated at Deacon Simeon Hart’s school at Farmington. He became first mate in a Liverpool packet, was four years in the service of the United States, sailed to all parts of the world, and was finally lost in the China Sea, from a pilot boat which he commanded, in the year 1862, aged 40 years. He was highly gifted by nature, and well educated, but was never married.

AUSTIN HART, Esq., youngest son of Simeon Hart, of Burlington, and his second wife, Mrs. Pamelia Pettibone (Wetmore), born April 17th, 1824, at Burlington, Conn., and graduated at Yale College in 1853. He was admitted to the bar in Philadelphia, Penn., and practiced a few years in Farmington. He settled at New Britain, Conn., in 1864, has his office on Main Street, and his residence is on the west side of Cedar Street, being in the west part of the city, and directly north of the park. He was married October 9th, 1867, before Rev. L. Perrin, D. D., at her father’s residence in Farmington, Susan Augusta, daughter of Samuel Deming, and his wife, Catharine (Lewis), born September 8th, 1830, at Farmington. They have had no children to live, at this writing, in 1874. He has generously furnished an engraving of his half brother, Deacon Simeon Hart, for the frontispiece, and also of himself, on the opposite page, for which he has my thanks.

WILLIAM BACKUS HART, Norwich, only son of William Sherman Hart, and his wife, Eunice (Backus). born            ; married             He graduated at Yale College in 1817. He studied law, and settled in Bristol, Penn., where his wife died, when second he married in New York, where he resides.
