ESTHER MARIA HART, New Preston, Conn., second daughter of Deacon Nathan Hart, of Cornwall, and his wife, Sylvia (Clark), born January 21st, 1815, at Cornwall; married March 13th, 1844, Shelden Whittlesey, of New Preston, his native place. She died there, December 14th, 1854, in her 40th year. He was son of Martin Whittlesey, and his wife, Lorana (Dayton), born August 28th, 1806, at New Preston, and first married December 13th, 1837, Eunice Smith, who died May 19th, 1843, when he second married as above, and third married October 4th, 1855, Sylvia Ann Hart, sister of Esther Maria. They had - 1, Nathan Hart, 2, Robert C. Mills, 3, Judson.

MARY ELIZA HART, Clifton Station, Va., fourth daughter of Deacon Nathan Hart, of Cornwall, Conn., and his wife, Sylvia (Clark), born March 31st, 1818, at Cornwall; married August 15th, 1852, Deacon Anson Baldwin Nodine. They reside at Clifton Station, Va., in 1874. They had - 1, Willie Brown, 2, Seward, 3, Arthur Burnham.

CLARISSA HART, Hudson, Ohio, fifth daughter of Deacon Nathan Hart, of Cornwall, Conn., and his wife, Sylvia (Clark), born December 24th, 1819, at Cornwall, Conn.; Married September 11th, 1839, Robert Crawford Nodine, a merchant in 1874, at Hudson, Summit County, Ohio. They had - 1, Crawford Hart, who died of wounds received at Cedar Mountain; 2, Mary Hart; 3, Clara Leavitt.

NATHAN HART, West Cornwall, Conn., fifth son of Deacon Nathan Hart, of Cornwall, and his wife, Sylvia (Clark), born December 12th, 1821, at West Cornwall, Conn.; married September 8th, 1847, Sarah Amelia, daughter of Charles Whittlesey, of New Preston, and his wife, Mary Ann (Camp), born April 16th, 1827. She died January 21st, 1871, aged 44 years, when he second married December 19th, 1871, Frances Marion Whittlesey. He is a successful farmer, represented the town of Cornwall in the state legislature of 1860, is presi-
