ELIZABETH ANN HART, second daughter of Rev. Seth Hart, of Hempstead, L. I., and his wife Ruth (Hall), born May 9th, 1809, at Hempstead; married Wm. J. Clowes, Esq., Hartwood, Sullivan Co., N. Y. She died Dec. 4th, 1840, Æ. 31. They had Lydia Moore and Caroline Morgan. BENJAMIN HALL HART, Hempstead, L. I., fourth son of Rev. Seth Hart, of the same place, and his wife Ruth (Hall), born Feb. 13th, 1811, at . He followed the seas until Oct., 1837, when he married Elizabeth Nichols, daughter of Gideon, of Hempstead; he settled as a farmer in Manchester, Dutchess Co., N. Y.; He now, 1871, resides at Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
409. Mary Amelia, born Sept. 18th, 1838. CYRUS WADSWORTH HART, Kensington, eldest son of Hon. Capt. Samuel Hart, of the same locality, and his wife Mary (Wilcox), born March 8th, 1794, at Kensington. He studied for the law, but in consequence of too close application became for a time partially insane, but recovered, and wrote books and sold them; he married March 11th, 1819, Susannah Ewing, at New Lisbon, Ohio, and settled at Foxtown, Ohio, where his last seven children were born; the first was |
