All About Resets

Use the reset command to reset objects in a room, on a mob that is in a room, or in an object that can contain other objects and is in a room (or is on a mob that is in a room).

Note how everything is "in a room". Resets are created in rooms, as part of the room object! The fact that the reset is armor on a guard makes no difference. It also makes no difference that the guard might walk out of the room. Resets... are created in rooms.

Thus, the first thing you do to create a reset is redit the room where you want the object, or the room where the mob resets.

Once you're in redit, the reset commands are:

Note: So far all resets are for objects that are in the same area as the reset. There's not a place to put an area number. So you'll have to make sure you copy over an object if you're using a standard one. I'd like this to change so you can use a standard object, and so we can have, say, the standard shortsword that all the villagers buy from Joe the Weaponsmith or people trained by him, so we have some sort of generic idea of "what is a basic shortsword". But we're not doing that yet.
