The Senior Activity Center has three Compaq
computers, thanks to a grant from Fidelity Investments. Internet classes have started, thanks to help from MV
Communications, a Nashua-area internet service provider.
Introduction to the Internet

| Description: For beginners
only. Learn what the Internet is, what you need for
hardware and software, basic internet terms and a description of each,
what email is and how to use it. Also includes browsing
the World Wide Web. Time for
practice. Taught by trained volunteer, Carl Beers. Only 3
students per class. |
| Cost: $10 for members and $15 for
nonmembers.

Introduction to Computers

| Description: A 6-hour beginner's course that teaches
the operational basics of computers. Includes powering up and
down, desktop familiarization, practice and handling of the mouse,
keyboard, scroll bar, menu and tool bars, Windows Explorer, file
management, saving, function keys, etc. If your children have
given you a computer and you have no idea what to do with it, this
introductory course is for you. Three students per class. |

| Description: Learn word processing, editing, copying,
cutting and pasting, printing and paste setup. Must be familiar
with Windows. Three, 2-hour lessons will be
scheduled. Three students per class. |
