(Clark), born August 1st, 1838, in New Britain; married November 4th, 1857, Henry Pember, son of Elisha, and his wife, Persis (King), born August 2d, 1833, in Vernon, Conn. He died November 30th, 1866, in Hartford, aged 33 years, when second she married January 5th, 1869, J. Charles Smith, son of Nathaniel C., and his wife, Charlotte (Strong), born May 14th, 1832, in East Hampton, Conn. Her children by Pember were—1, Elisha Hart, born November 22d, 1858, in Rockville, Conn.; 2, Persis King, born May 10th, 1862, in Willimantic, Conn. She was residing with her second husband in Morrisania, N. Y., in 1874.

CHARLES RICHMOND HART, Hartford, Conn., second son of Artemas Ensign Hart, of New Britain, but now of Hartford, and his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Clark), born June 17th, 1840, in Milford, Conn.; married in Christ Church, Hartford, April 4th, 1866, Ellen Maria Woodruff, daughter of Orrin D., and his wife, Mary Jane (Crosby), born February 9th, 1843, in Hartford. He is in the firm of Hart, Merriam & Co., dry goods merchants, No. 325 Main Street, Hartford, and is doing a good business. His residence is No. 171 Sigourney Street.

O. Litchfield, of Hartford, where she was born, September 29th, 1845. He is cashier of the Pratt Street Savings Bank. Hartford.
