WILLIAM HENRY HART, eldest son of John Alexander Hart, of Greenport, L. I., and his wife, Louisa (Edgerton), born July 27th, 1840; married in Marshville, Tenn., December 5th, 1864, Alice Martin. He was a railroad superintendent in Tennessee in 1871. They have no children.

MORTIMER EDGERTON HART, Cleveland, Ohio, second son of John Alexander Hart, formerly of Greenport, L. I., but now of Cleveland, and his wife, Louisa (Edgerton), of New London, Conn., born September 5th, 1844, in Greenport; married in Cleveland, November 25th, 1868, Alice Josephine McCurdy, of Lyme, Conn. He served his country as a soldier in the late war. In 1872 he went to California for his health, and has much improved by the change. He is now (1875) located at Santa Barbara, Cal., where he is a banker.

EDWARD LEARNED HART, Montana, third son of John Alexander Hart, of Greenport, L. I., and subsequently of Cleveland, Ohio, and his wife, Louisa (Edgerton), of New London, Conn., born May 3d, 1848, in Greenport, L. I.; married November 3d, 1870, Anna Sullivan. He is a miner in Montana in 1875.

MARY WILLIAMS HART, New York, eldest daughter of Henry Sill Hart, of Saybrook, Conn., and subsequently of New York City, and his wife, Mary E. (Clark), born June 12th, 1851, in Utica, N. Y.; married April 4th, 1870, in Saybrook, Conn., Thomas Benjamin Doane, son of Hon. John J. Doane, of that place.
