Alfred Andrews, the historian of New Britain, in which he particularly referred to the good services of prominent ancestors of both families in civil, ecclesiastical, and military affairs. A poem, written by Mrs. Ellen H. Wells for the occasion, was read, as well as a longer one, by Mrs. Almira Hart Lincoln Phelps, of Baltimore. The occasion was one of great interest in New Britain, and one which will be long and pleasantly remembered by all who enjoyed the exercises and festivities of this delightful family re-union.
