when second she married February 27th, 1824, Martin Lee, of Southington, son of Timothy, and his wife, Lucy (Camp), born October 10th, 1778, at Southington. His avocation was farming. He lived on the old place of his father and grandfather, on the west side, just north of the churches, where he died January 21st, 1841, aged 81 years. She died December 19th, 1860, aged 82 years. Her children by Clark were—1, Abigail Judd, born March 28th, 1799, died July 3d, 1804; 2, Elizur Hart, born August 17th, 1801, died December 6th, 1824, at South- ington; 3, Julia Abigail, born July 23d, 1807, died February 1st, 1813, in New Britain. Her child by Lee was—4, Lucretia Sarah, baptized August 7th, 1831, married June 21st, 1842, Dr. Frederick Hart, of Southington.

SOPHIA HART, New Britain, third daughter of Elizur Hart, the school- master, and his wife, Sarah (Langdon), born September 3d, 1785, at New Britain; married November 30th, 1809, Franklin Hitchcock, of Southington, son of Samuel, and his wife, Tamar He lived in Southington, on West Street, He was a large, well proportioned, and powerful man, and a famous wrestler. He died November 8th, 1827, aged 43 years. They had one child, Sophia Hart, born               ; married September 18th, 1827, John Nelson Hart.

DOCTOR ERASTUS LANGDON HART, only son of Elizur Hart, the schoolmaster, of New Britain, and his wife, Sarah (Langdon), born May 8th, 1787, at New Britain. He became a physician of celebrity, and married September 12th, 1810, Mary Parmelee, of Goshen, Conn., born March 6th, 1788. He studied for the medical profession with Dr. Everest, of Canton, Conn., and began his practice in Goshen, Conn., in 1809, whore ho found his first wife, who died at Elmira, N. Y., where he located in 1824, when second he married November 1st, 1843, Harriet Hepburn, born Novqmbor 23d, 1804. He died October 23d, 1871, at Elmira, N. Y., aged 84 years.
