THOMAS JOSEPH YOUNG HART, youngest child of Dr. John Hart, of Farmington, and his wife, Hannah (Williams), born January 11th, 1798, at Farmington; married , [Amanda Taylor]. They settled at Blendon, Franklin County, Ohio, where, it is reported, he died from eating poisoned pork, when she second married Jones, and removed to Columbus, Ohio.

DEACON ELIJAH HART, 3d, New Britain, Conn., son of Elijah 2d, and his wife, Sarah (Gilbert), and grandson of Elijah 1st, born May 7th, 1759, at New Britain; baptized May 13th, 1759; married December 21st, 1780, Anna, eldest daughter of Hezekiah Andrews, of the same place, and his wife, Anna (Stedman), born September 6th, 1760, at New Britain, Conn, They lived at the south part of the parish, and owned Hart’s Mills, which were located there. He was a large farmer, and an extensive manufacturer of corn meal for the West India trade. He was admitted to the church October 3d, 1784, was chosen deacon in 1805, and held the military rank of captain. He enlisted into the army of the revolution, March 18th, 1778, for three years, and was at the taking of Burgoyne. In 1824 he and his wife were dismissed from the church in New Britain, and were admitted to the church at Mount Carmel, in Hamden, Conn., where he had built a house and mill, and where they lived several years. They returned, however, to their old home in New Britain, and he died from the sting of a bee, August 4th, 1827, aged 68 years, 2 months, 27 days. His widow died December 2d, 1835, aged 75 years, 2 months, 26 days.
