His sister, Lydia, who became the wife of Theron Hart, of New Britain, gave him by Will, proved in probate court, July 25th, 1850, the sum of $300, to be paid to him by J. T. George W. Hart supposedly had 9 children. His wife's parents, Ephraim and Catherine (Woods) Hitchcock
migrated to Stanstead Co. Quebec and Ephraim died in Sparta, Upper Canada.
There was a George W. Hart in the 1830 census in Jericho in Chittenden County VT, who may be this same person.
JOSIAH HART, Claremont, Sullivan County, N. H., sixth son of Ebenezer Hart, of Kensington, Conn., and Charlestown, N. H., and his wife, Lydia (Benton), born 1788; married Friendly Rice.
