2126. Cornelia, born ELI HART, New York, fifth son of Thomas Hart, of Paris, (now Clinton,) N. Y., and his wife, Mary (Hungerford), born ; married , Mary . He is an extensive flour merchant in New York City. [ He died and was buried December 31st, 1845.] [
Eli Hart, flour merchant of New York City, born ca. 1781, died 1845, son of Thomas Hart & Mary Hungerford, married Mary Lay. In 1831 he purchased
Vault 57 of the NY Marble Cemetery.
A trustee of the Marble Cemetary reports that he had at least one other
child named Helen. Helen was born about 1814 and
died 10 Jul 1884, age 70 yrs. She married Ernest Fiedler who died 30 Jan

2134, Charlotte, born ; married Cummings. TRUMAN HART, Palmyra, Wayne County, N. Y., third son of Thomas Hart, of Clinton, N. 2140. Abby, born ; married , Strong, of Palmyra. [ Anne married George H. Mumford of Rochester NY on May 24, 1836. They had two children George Hart Mumford (b. Sept 20, 1840; d. July 21, 1875) and Henrietta Saltonstall (b. 1853; d. 1922). Henrietta married Louis Cope Washburn in 1890. He eventually became the rector at Christ Church Philadelphia. One of their 3 children was Louis Mumford Washburn, born 1894. He died in 1962. He had 2 children Anna Moss Washburn and Louis Cope Washburn II. ] |
