(Bruce), born December 18th, 1815, at Farmington; married November 17th, 1837, Lydia Ann Miller, daughter of Joseph, and his wife, Mary (Kelsey), of Rocky Hill, born October 8th, 1824. He is a carriage smith by trade, which he learned of George and Henry Francis, of Hartford. He is now registrar of the town and city of Hartford, where he resides at No. 935 Main Street. They had issue, viz: Ellen Bruce, born January 18th, 1848, died           , aged 1 year and 6 months; Lewis Bruce, born July 12th, 1853, died           , aged 4 years.
