ALMON HART, Geneva, Wis., fifth son of Chauncey Hart, of Southington, Conn., and his first wife, Lydlia Hoadley (Bray), born June 12th, 1798, at Southington. He was given to David Hart in infancy, and in the year 1807 was taken to Middletown, Rutland County, Vt., where he married in 1828, Mary Gates Stewart, daughter of Samuel, and his wife, Rebecca (Leach), born September 28th, 1810, at Middletown, Vt. He removed to the west, and has been moving west ever since, so he writes, and was residing at Geneva, Wis., in 1873, where he is a farmer. Besides the children below, several died in infancy without names.
