ALMON HART, Geneva, Wis., fifth son of Chauncey Hart, of Southington, Conn., and his first wife, Lydlia Hoadley (Bray), born June 12th, 1798, at Southington. He was given to David Hart in infancy, and in the year 1807 was taken to Middletown, Rutland County, Vt., where he married in 1828, Mary Gates Stewart, daughter of Samuel, and his wife, Rebecca (Leach), born September 28th, 1810, at Middletown, Vt. He removed to the west, and has been moving west ever since, so he writes, and was residing at Geneva, Wis., in 1873, where he is a farmer. CHAUNCEY HART, Jr., Southington, eldest son of Chauncey Hart, Sr., of the same town, and his second wife, Lucy (Gaylord), born September 15th, 1804, at Southington. He went to Oxford, Chenango County, N. Y., and married October 1st, 1829, Abigail Wnght, born March 20th, 1806, at Southington. She went to Oxford at the age of six years, and taught school there until her marriage. She died March |
