SAMUEL HART, (Nod) Northington, fifth son of Sergeant Thomas Hart, of Farmington, and his wife, Elizabeth (Judd), born about 1702, at Farmington; married February 5th, 1729-30, Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of Thomas, born Angust 8th, 1706, at Farmington. He and his wife were constituent members of the church at Avon, in 1751. He held the military rank of lieutenant. He died April 19th, 1769. She died in Northington, July 9th, 1793, aged eighty-six years. [ The daughter, Ester, below, appears to have been incorrectly listed as marrying Mathew Warren. The name should be Mather Warren, according to records of the Warren family in Williamsburg, Mass. He was the son of William Warren and Susanna Mather. JAMES HART, Avon, Conn., sixth son of Sergeant Thomas, of Farmington, and His wife, Elizabeth (Judd), born and baptized December 4th, 1707, at Avon; married October 10th, 1731, Thankful, daughter of Thomas North, and his wife, Hannah (Woodford), born July 1st, 1708, at Avon.
