279. Asahel, born March 25th, 1813, married, Sept. 12th,
1841, Clarissa Smith. WOODRUFF. ANNA HART, New Britain, third daughter of Judah Hart, of the same place, and his wife Sarah (North), was born March 17th, 1780, at New Britain; married, Sept. 17th, 1804, Truman, son of Amos Woodruff and his wife Sarah (Clark), born Nov. 23d, 1773, at New Britian. He was a farmer and an Albino, and lived on East street in New Britain. They had no issue. He died Feb. 15th, 1854, aged 79 years; she died Nov. 20th, 1857, in her 78th year. MERRIMAN. ROXANA HART, Sonthington, fourth daughter of Judah Hart, of New Britain, Conn., and his wife Sarah (North), was born Oct. 23d, 1784. She married, Nov. 22d, 1803, Albert Merriman, son of Eber, of Southington, born Sept. 6th, 1774, at Southington; he died Aug. 2d, 1827, aged 53 years, when, second, she married, Feb. 5th, 1829, James Beecher, of Southington, who died Sept. 12th, 1858, aged 80 years. She died Nov. 26th, 1859, aged 75 years, at Southington. ELIPHAZ HART, Norwich, Conn., third son of Judah Hart, of New Britain, and his wife, Sarah (North), daughter of James, born June 28th, 1789, at New Britain, Conn. He learned the trade of jeweler of his brother Judah. He married, December 25th, 1812, Eliza, daughter of Oliver Armstrong, and his wife, Elizabeth (Hammond), of Newport, R. I., born December 2d, 1793, at Newport. They resided at Greeneville, in Norwich, and he died there July 20th, 1866, aged 77 years, 22 days. The widow lives now (1874) with her daughter, at Hart's Falls, Renssalaer County, N. Y., and both are members of the Congre- gational Church there. THEIR CHILDREN, BEING THE EIGHTH GENERATION.
